The agreement signed between Meghalaya and Assam through the MoU recently on the 29th of March,2022 left many especially the local public residents of the interstate border areas between Assam and Meghalaya shocked and embittered.
t7 while speaking with a few senior members of Malangkona area said that after hearing the news of the MoU being signed, Kimfa Sidney Marbaniang,MLA of Rambrai-Jyrngam constituency visited the area and the MLA met the heartbroken public who were filled with bitter tears.
With regard to this matter t7 also spoke with Birbor Riangtem, Secretary of Hima Nonglang Sirdarship and the gentleman said that the villages that have been added to Assam through the MoU are 9 in total, including Wahthre Rongchong, Tarabari, Damramkona, Harijan, Bosrum, Salbari, Simnaguri, Joipur and Huhuapara which is one the villages with a beautiful waterfall.
