Shillong: A woman was allegedly robbed of her gold earring by a suspected thief in the Red Cross area of Laban, Shillong.
According to information available, the incident took place at around 11 am on September 20. The suspect allegedly snatched the woman’s gold earring before fleeing the area.
The incident was followed by a commotion at the spot, with members of the public reportedly catching hold of the suspect. A video of the incident has since surfaced on social media.
Police who rushed to the scene reportedly recovered the gold earring, which the suspect was allegedly seen discarding at the spot.
The suspect was subsequently taken to the police station by the police for further action in accordance with the law.
