Nongpoh, September 10: The rise in theft and burglary incidents in Nongpoh continues, as two shops were broken into and vandalized, with cash and goods stolen. The burglars also caused extensive damage to the property inside the shops.
The shops involved in the incident include “Moon Light Studio,” located in a building owned by Bah Hubert Marweiñ, and another shop belonging to Tuta Miah, which sells ration items and household goods.
According to reports, the crime occurred late at night or in the early hours of September 10. The burglars forced open the metal shutters of the shops and looted cash and various goods. Significant damage was also done to the items inside the stores.
The Nongpoh police, along with experts, arrived at the scene to investigate and gather evidence regarding the incident. Further investigations are underway.
