Share

West Shillong MLA Paul Lyngdoh was sworn in as a Cabinet Minister in the Meghalaya Government on Monday evening at Lok Bhavan, Shillong, following his recent switch from the United Democratic Party (UDP) to the National People’s Party (NPP).

Governor C. H. Vijayashankar administered the oath of office in the presence of Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, Deputy Chief Ministers Prestone Tynsong and Sniawbhalang Dhar, along with other Cabinet Ministers and MLAs.

Lyngdoh recently resigned from the UDP alongside Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar and Nujorki Sungoh to join the ruling NPP.

His induction into the Cabinet comes following the resignation of Metbah Lyngdoh, paving the way for Paul Lyngdoh’s return to the Meghalaya Council of Ministers.
