The Voice of the People’s Party (VPP) has announced the remaining list of candidates for the upcoming Autonomous District Council (ADC) elections, fielding contenders across all 29 constituencies of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) and Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC).
On Monday, the party announced two candidates for the KHADC elections and five for the JHADC elections, completing its slate. Previously, the VPP had announced 27 candidates for the KHADC and 24 for the JHADC elections.
For the KHADC, the newly announced candidates are Kynjohlang Rangtong from Mawhati and Deity Majaw from Laitumkhrah-Malki constituency.
In the JHADC, the party announced its candidates – Dr. Samely Shylla from Amwi-Khliehtyrshi, Thiyo Lapasam from Saphai-Sahsniang, Soki Lapasam from Muthlong-Sohkymphor, Tyngshain Phawa from Khliehriat-Rymbai and Prince Sukhlein from Saipur.
