Shillong: Aristotle Rymbai, leader of the Meghalaya Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan School Association (MSSASA), has demanded that the State Government must try their best to immediately release the 5 consecutive months of pending salaries to the teachers.
This was expressed by Aristotle Rymbai while speaking with media persons on Thursday in which he also spoke about the additional fund of ₹104 crores already sanctioned which as leaders of the association they have already received the information that it has not been utilised and if this additional fund is released then they might be able to clear all the pending salaries in full of all the SSA teachers in the state.
As it is at present, the inability of the State Government in paying all the pending salaries have prompted the MSSASA to lead a non-cooperation movement from their end and this will continue for as long as the State Government through the Education Department continues to withhold their rightful salaries.
