Shillong, Sept 02: The secretary of Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) who is also the MDC of Rambrai-Jyrngam, Bajop Pyngrope said that the statement made by the Vice President of UDP who is also the Home Minister in the MDA government, Lahkmen Rymbui that the Congress will break into 2 or 3 factions is just childish talk. He said that Rymbui should look at his own party first and before pointing fingers at Congress, he should first fix the problems within UDP.
He said that in the past few days, everyone has seen the situation of the state after the 13th of Aug, where the Working President, Paul Lyngdoh said that Rymbui should step down as Minister and to take responsibility for the problem. The Congress MDC further added that the General Secretary of UDP, Jemino Mawthoh publicly said that Lahkmen Rymbui is not the Home Minister anymore, but till date, Rymbui is still the Home Minister of the state government and also said that the people will give their answer to UDP in 2023.
