Shillong: The Hynniewtrep Border Dispute Redressal Forum (HBDRF) send a strong message that no one from the Assam government should mislead or link the Mukroh incident with the ongoing Inter-State Border talk between Assam and Meghalaya.
Thomas Passah while speaking to reporters on Wednesday, said that the incident that happened on November 22, 2022 at Mukhroh has nothing to do with the ongoing border talks.
Passah stressed that Mukroh falls under the jurisdiction of Meghalaya because in of the report of an inquiry committee it has clearly mentioned that the incident occurred in an area under Jrikyndeng Police Station.
