Shillong: BJP MLA Lahkmen Rymbui said the eight former UDP MLAs who joined the BJP did not seek ministerial positions from Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, asserting that their decision was driven by their commitment to the people and the state.
Rymbui made the statement while speaking to the media after the eight MLAs formally joined the BJP at the party’s office in Shillong.
He also outlined the issues the group discussed with BJP leaders in Delhi, including matters they want the party leadership to take up in the coming days.
