Shillong: East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police, Vivek Syiem, has issued a stern advisory against uploading or sharing videos and photographs of the four-year-old girl from Nongrah whose body was recovered on Monday. The SP said such insensitive acts are deeply hurting the victim’s family and society, showing disregard for the dignity of the deceased.
He urged individuals, groups, and YouTubers to immediately take down any such content from social media platforms, WhatsApp statuses, and other channels. The police warned that failure to comply will be viewed seriously and attract strict legal action.
