Shillong: The Voice of the People’s Party (VPP) leader Dr Ricky Syngkon on Sunday said that the committee constituted by the state government to discuss and deliberates issues pertaining to the Reservation Roster is pointless.
The VPP leader further said that the party will not take part in the committee because the VPP’s stand was very clear from the beginning and that was the state government need to urgently review the Reservation Policy but not on Roster system.
Mentionably, Meghalaya Government has constituted a committee which will be headed by cabinet minister, Dr M Ampareen comprising of members from all the political parties of the state including- BJP HM Shangpliang, Zenith Sangma from AITC, Pyndapborthiaw Saibon of KHNAM, Ronnie V Lyngdoh of INC, Augustine Marak of GNC, Methodius Dkhar of HSPDP, Dr WR Kharlukhi of NPP, and Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar of UDP.
