Shillong: The Member of Parliament (MP) of Shillong seat and Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) chief, Vincent H Pala have alleged that the communal differences between the Khasi and Garo community rises due to public speeches made by Voice of the People Party (VPP) president, Ardent M Basaiawmoit.
On the merging of the two People Democratic Front (PDF) MLAs with the ruling National People’s Party (NPP), Pala said the move is a tactic of the BJP to divide the people. Pala further said that people will not accept the NPP but the merging of the two PDF will only temporarily benefit the party.
The Congress MP said non-BJP parties will rule Centre after the 2024 Lok Sabha election.
