Shillong: The secretary of the Harijan Panchayat Committee (HPC), Gurjit Singh informed that the government pay no heed to any of the demands put forward by the HPC.
Gurjit laments that all the official talks held with the state government are of no value.
He informed that the panchayat from the very beginning has demanded for a road at the area to widen the streets and to make it easier for communication between the people.
There should have been a proper set up after the meeting and the High Court has stated very clearly that the issue should be cleared by the government and the HPC, however the demands put forward to the government were never taken into consideration stated Gurjit.
