BCCI oversees Cricket Ground in Polo; One of the best grounds in India

Shillong, November 07: The Cricket Ground in Polo, Shillong is one of the best grounds as expressed by the Chief Curator of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Ashish Bhowmick during his inspection on Monday.

The efforts put in to make the said ground the best by the Meghalaya Cricket Association has borne fruits resulting in praises from the representative of the BCCI who said that it is one of the best cricket grounds in India. The ground will be overseen by the BCCI for the games to be held in 2022-2023.

Ashish Bhowmick expressed that there is truly a marked difference in the ground from the time he had last inspected it, 2 years ago. He said that the ground is much better now, even though it is difficult to maintain and make the cricket ground better especially in the North- Eastern region due to the heavy rain and lack of sunshine, yet it is one of the best grounds for a game.

Furthermore, Bhowmick also suggested that other parts of the ground apart from the pitch should be made better.

The President of the MCA, Naba Bhattacharjee said that the Association is proud at receiving the praises from Bhowmick with regards to the pitch being in good condition, and said that after his visit, the BCCI will now oversee the ground till the end of the domestic games season, while the MCA will continue to carry on with the maintenance of the ground.
