ABVP felicitates meritorious students

Shillong, September 29: The Minister of Nagaland incharge of Higher Technical Education and Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along Longkumer said that exclusivity should not exist in a country like India which has many special communities and diverse ways of life.

Temjen visited Shillong as the Chief Guest at the Felicitation programme of meritorious students in different examinations and this felicitation was conducted by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), known as the “Tirot Sing Best Student Award 2022” in Soso Tham Auditorium.

Speaking in the gathering, he said that India is rich with diverse communities who also want unity in diversity, however he added that many want to show that they are more special or exclusive than others and this is a major problem which has arisen in India.

He said that the specialness of communities should lead to unity not exclusivity.

Temjen Imna Along who is the BJP President of Nagaland further said that the presence of diverse communities is the greatest speciality of India, but unity is important for the growth and progress of the country as a whole.

At the felicitation programme of meritorious students, besides the Nagaland Minister were also present the Syiem Khynnah of Hima Nongkhlaw, Dr.Kestonbel Manik Syiemlieh, the Zonal Organising Secretary of the ABVP North East, Nirav Ghelani, President of ABVP Meghalaya, Dr Sashankulang Khongthohrem and also the invitees, the school administrators and students.
