Shillong: The Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad K.Sangma today the Tuesday of the week called for a special meeting with the Chief Executive Members of the three Autonomous District Councils of Meghalaya to discuss thoroughly and in detail the notification which was issued recently on the implementation of the CrPC and CPC in the whole State.

Speaking with media persons after the meeting, Titosstarwell Chyne, CEM of the KHADC said that the Council under him had already sent their suggestions and their opposition to the issuance of the notification to implement the CrPC and CPC in the whole State.

It is only in the meeting held today that Chyne claimed that a thorough and detailed discussion on this matter was held and also sought for some time again from the State Government to allow the ADCs two more days so that they can discuss and prepare again another set of suggestions.

While the Chief Minister of Meghalaya,Conrad K.Sangma on the other hand claimed that the aim of this is because the Government does not have any intention to snatch or diminish the laws of the District Council, but the aim of the notification issued by the Government is only because it is felt necessary to separate the judiciary and the executive.
