Krishan Pal Gurjar, Union Minister of State incharge Power and Heavy Industries today visited Ri-Bhoi District which is one of the Aspirational Districts in the country to take stock of the developmental projects and to motivate the officers of the different government departments to work effortlessly and to also see for himself the condition of the District in connection with the developmental schemes.
The Union Minister of State today also had a meeting with the officers from different departments which was held at the Conference Hall of the Office of the Deputy Commissioner in the presence also of B.J.Kharshandi, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Ri-Bhoi District and other senior officials from different departments.
Speaking with media persons today, Krishan Pal Gurjar expressed great satisfaction at seeing Ri-Bhoi District which is one of the Aspirational Districts developing in all aspects and especially at reaching the 5th rank in the whole country and with regards to the Delta Ranking where it held the 1st rank in 2019 in Health and Nutrition which is a matter of great pride for the District and the whole State.
He also said with regards to the honour and the success in implementing government schemes, the Niti Aayog has also allocated many awards and schemes for the district.
On the same day the Union Minister of State also visited and interacted at the Anganwadi Centre in Umdihar village, and also the Health and Wellness Centre in Umsaw Nongkharai village.
