Mawkyrwat, June 17: Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar who is also the Chairman of the Regional Committee formed to monitor the situation in 3 districts, West Khasi Hills,Eastern West Khasi Hills and South West Khasi Hills, along with Brolding Nongsiej personally inspected a few areas affected by natural disasters. This follows after the State Government through the Chief Minister, Conrad K.Sangma formed the regional committee as an emergency especially to look into and monitor the different incidents which have created a difficult situation for the citizens of the State due to the incessant rain in the past few days.
On this matter, Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar personally visited the sites so that repair work can be carried out promptly to avoid any traffic disruptions for the people of these areas.
On this day he was also accompanied by the Officers of the PWD and also the Superintendent of Police (SP), Mawkyrwat, South West Khasi Hills District.
