SHILLONG, June 16: In a disaster which occurred in Laitlarem under Mawphlang Block, 3 from one household lost their lives due to the mud from a landslide which buried their house.
This disaster is a result of the heavy rainfall throughout the night and also in the past few days, and as per source information received, 4 others who were at the house when the incident occurred sustained injuries and were rushed immediately for treatment.
In connection with this disaster, the Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Conrad Kongkal Sangma sent his condolence while also announcing on his social media account that an ex-gratia of Rs. 4 lakhs will be given to the family members of those affected by this unfortunate incident.
