Nongpoh, May 26: Unidentified miscreants managed to steal one Maruti 800 car bearing registration number WB 24 C 5699 along with cash amounting to Rs.25,000/- from the house of Kong Bilincy Jana who stays in Umling, Ri-Bhoi District.
Bilincy Jana informed that the vehicle and cash was stolen at about 12 AM of the 25th of May, 2022 while they were fast asleep, when a few persons forcefully opened a window and entered the house and scrambled through her purse and took away the amount of Rs.25,000/- from the purse and also took the car key and fled away with the car from its parking space.
She informed also that when they woke up in the morning, they found the window having been opened forcefully and found that the money and car key were no longer in the place they are usually kept and when they went out, they found that even their car was no longer in the place where it’s usually parked.
Kong Jana also said that the family members immediately went to the tollgate plaza at 20 Mile to check the video recordings from the CCTV Camera to find a clue on the car however, they did not see the car passing through the tollgate at all. Therefore, they immediately went and informed the police force in Nongpoh about this incident and from the police’s end, an investigation is being carried out to find the miscreants involved in this stealing of a car and money from Umling.
