Nongpoh,April 29: In part to promote sports activities in Ri-Bhoi District and to also provide a platform for students from different schools in Ri-Bhoi District to show case their talents besides performance in class, the Ri-Bhoi Students’ Union (RBSU) Central Body, has taken the decision to organise an Inter School Sports Meet at Kurkalang Ground in Ri-Bhoi District.
The Working President of the RBSU, Amberlight Masharing said that the aim of the Union in organising this sports meet is to provide a platform for the school students to showcase their innate talents in different sports activities, the Union also has a desire to promote sports activities in Ri-Bhoi area.
He said that the Union will organise the sports meet for school students for 3 days which will begin on the 4th of May and end on the 6th of May, 2022. Furthermore, he also informed that the sports meet this time has been decided to be held firstly only for students of schools falling in the area of Ri-Bhoi Mihngi(Eastern Ri-Bhoi). The Union expects that the participation of different schools from the area will benefit the school students and will also make the Inter School Sports Meet a success.
