Partly to participate in the North East Festival 2022 which is a part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav of India’s 75 years of Independence celebration, and 50 Years of Meghalaya Statehood celebration and also to create awareness on the right of the girl child( Beti Bachao Beti Padhao), the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Ri-Bhoi District today organised a Bike Rally in which many bikers group from the State participated.
The rally was inaugurated by the Deputy Commissioner of Ri-Bhoi District, Arpit Upadhyaya as Chief Guest in the presence of M.B.Tongper, Additional Deputy Chief Commissioner, D.D. Umdor, President of Royal Enfield Riders’ Association of Meghalaya (RERAM) and the group of bike riders in the State under the banner of RERAM.
The Bike Rally was also a celebration on the 5th position attained by the District as an Aspirational District in India and the rally is also an encouragement for the yearning to reach the first position.
