Shillong,March 28: The MDC of Rambrai-Jyrngam who exited from the Congress party, Bajop Pyngrope is all set to join the National People’s Party (NPP) along with his supporters in the coming days.
On being asked if it is certain that he will be joining the NPP on the 31st of this month, Bajop Pyngrope said that the talks have been going and an arrangement have been made for him to join the National People’s Party (NPP), and he assures that his intention is to join the NPP.
On being asked about the reason, the MDC said that the foremost reason is the Government which is led by the NPP has given much priority to resolving the border issue which he said in the past 50 years no other party has really desired as much or even tried as much in resolving the border issue. He said that during the time when the Congress led the Government in the Centre, Assam and Meghalaya, the process of resolving the border issue could not see the light of day.
He said that the sites in West Khasi Hills District including Gizang, Tarabari and Hahim sector, upto 98 percent of the villages fall under Meghalaya and talks with the Chief Minister,Conrad Kongkal Sangma is in process to also add two other villages, Malsapara and Salbari with Meghalaya.
