Shillong, March 28: The MDC from Rambrai-Jyrngam, Bajop Pyngrope today the 28th of March submitted his resignation letter as a party member of the Congress along with the forefront workers of the Congress Rambrai Block.
On this day, Bajop Pyngrope submitted his resignation at the Congress Bhawan,Shillong and also bumped into the President of the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), Vincent H.Pala outside of the office and informed Pala there and then that he was exiting from the Congress to which the MPCC also shook his hand with a smiling face and patted his back.
Speaking with media persons, Bajop Pyngrope said that besides the forefront workers, the remaining members of Rambrai Block Congress in a few days will join the NPP.
He said that as it is at present the Congress has forgotten the resting ducks and have gone to chase the flying ducks and added that the 5 suspended MLAs have worked tirelessly for the Congress and it is their right to go and support the Government. He further stated that the decision to suspend the 5 MLAs is a wrong decision and this decision has led the Congress party to plummet even more.
Pyngrope said that he has been with the Congress for 8 years and he has worked as a leader of the youth while expressing his feeling his sadness in leaving the Congress but he also stated that the Congress as it is at present has disheartened the youths especially with the clash of party leaders which has caused the Congress to deteriorate up to this level. He said that the clash is seen not only in the State but even in Delhi and this is one of the reason which led him to exit the Congress party.
