Shillong,March 28: The President of Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), Vincent H.Pala said that he received the information of Rambrai MDC, Bajop Pyngrope resigning from the party some time ago.
He said that the exit of the Rambrai MDC is not strange as the party was in the know about it and added that it is fine for the party especially in knowing and gathering supporters again as was done in Mawlai,Nongpoh and East Shillong constituency. He said that the party will field 60 candidates and the consultation is going on everywhere now, while also expressing that as it is at present, it is not difficult to get candidates.
On the other hand, Pala said that he tried speaking with the MLA of Rambrai who has been suspended from the party, Kimfa S.Marbaniang who expressed that once they have decided to support the MDA Government led by the NPP with the BJP also a coalition partner, the decision cannot be reverted.
The MPCC President said that the problem of the Congress party is that it cannot work together with the BJP.
