Shillong: Nehlang Lyngdoh, former MLA and Minister in the State, today returned to politics as he decided to become an official member of the National People’s Party or NPP.
Nehlang Lyngdoh who has been the MLA for two terms of erstwhile Rymbai constituency and now 6- Khliehriat constituency, returned to politics along with his many supporters.
Lyngdoh’s return to politics and his joining the NPP was welcomed by the party through a program held in the compound of the NPP office in Lower Lachumiere, with the National President of the NPP, Conrad Kongkal Sangma and National Vice President, Prestone Tynsong along with the State President and Sniawbhalang Dhar specially welcoming him to the party.
Members present who witnessed the return of Lyngdoh include Dasakhiat Lamare and office bearers of the NPP in the State.
The return of Lyngdoh is an encouragement to the NPP whose goal is to be prepared in achieving a record that was once achieved in this hilly region which is to bring out candidates for the upcoming Assembly Election with the hope that they will win in every constituency as had been the case in the past in 1998.
