Shillong: The JAC, Ki Khun Ki Hajar Ka Hima Sohïong, today came out to express their shock and also to reject the remark of ‘riew khlaw’ or uncivilized people alluded to them by the Chief Executive Member of KHADC, Titostarwell Chyne.
Speaking on this to media persons, Purningstar Shabong, Chairman of the JAC and Marchkupar Thabah, General Secretary,JAC clarified that the reason which made Ki Khun Ki Hajar Ka Hima Sohïong furious and embittered,is the attitude of the present Executive Committee which they have found and seen through the way they are treated by them and turning their whole matter into a ridicule, with none of their talk matching their actions which they feel is an insult to them by Jambor War and Titostarwell Chyne, resulting in Ki Khun Ki Hajar Ka Hima Sohïong to act out.
Their acting out was in the form of raiding and pulling apart the gate of the KHADC office.
In fact, the JAC has been continually meeting with the CEM and especially with the EM i/c Elaka from time to time to pursue and speak with them on their demand from 2019 to 2021, during which time the JAC through proper channels, through peaceful paths, through petitions and through talks tried to seek for their demands to be fulfilled.
The JAC,in pursuance of their demand and to talk again on it had fixed an appointment to meet with Chyne, however it is sad to make it known that on the appointed day and time, it is alleged that Chyne lied to the JAC and did not attend office even though he had given his word to meet with them on the appointed day and time.
