HEADLINES

SHILLONG, February 22: The National Vice President of the National People’s Party (NPP), Prestone Tynsong said that the NPP has set a victory target of more than 32 MLAs in the upcoming 2023 Assembly Election.

Prestone Tynsong said this after former MLAs and MDCs joined the NPP including the incumbent MDC who had won on a PDF ticket from Umsning, Smti.Macdalyne S.Mawlong. He said that as the years pass, the party organisation is getting warmer while adding that this does not mean that the coalition partners in the Government will be shunned, even as the goal for the party is to achieve a victory of more than 32 seats in 2023.

The NPP leader has claimed that the NPP will see a victory of not less than 14-15 MLAs in Manipur in which the fight will be basically between the NPP and the BJP, a sign that shows the strength of the NPP in the North-East region.

On this day Tynsong also assured that Macdalyne Sawkmie Mawlong will contest from Nongpoh and Martin M.Danggo will contest from Ranikor.
