He further stated that during his absence from the party for the past 2 years, the Chief Minister who is also the National President of the NPP had sent messengers to meet with him which really touched him. He also said that in his meeting with Conrad Sangma, he expressed that he does not have anything against the Chief Minister and expressed his gratitude for the Civil Sub-Division.
Danggo who is also the former Speaker in the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly said that in October of 2019, his supporters met and deliberated over Danggo contesting again in the elections and the choice would be up to him to decide on which party he would contest from. He said that it took him 2 years to decide on contesting again after consultations with supporters from all the blocks and units were held by proclaiming to his supporters that whatever they decide, he shall accept, even if they send him to hell also.
