As a sign of taking active part with the Government in the 50 Years of Statehood celebration and also to compete in the Cleanest and Most Beautiful Locality competition, the Dorbar Shnong of Nongmynsong has prepared for the special day by beautifying the walls of this locality with beautiful art works.
Phrangborlang Warjri, the Headman of Nongmynsong said that the Dorbar Shnong has been cleaning every part of the locality everyday and the art works which are painted in 4 parts has been carried out by Mixed Media Art Crew under the guidance of Oliver Wendell Lyndem, Head Artist with Wenester K.Marak,Arvind Mukhia and Sabatlang Lyngdoh.
The artists said that it has taken them 7 days to complete their art works known as Street Arts in which they have painted pictures related to the traditional attires of the Khasi, Jaiñtia and Garo people, paintings related to Covid and others.
The artists from their end have applauded the Dorbar Shnong for giving them a chance to move ahead with the kind of work they have produced.
