Nongpoh, December 20 : In part to raise the spirits and entertain the children of Nongpoh area prior to the birth of Jesus Christ, Childline Nongpoh organised a Pre-Christmas celebration in Umshangling locality which is located near the Shantivan Leprosy Centre.
The Pre-Christmas celebration was attended by Balajied Rani, MDC of Nongpoh as Chief Guest with Ibanshisha Marpna, Centre Coordinator of Childline Nongpoh and other local administrators of Umshangling locality also being present.
Childline Nongpoh functions under the supervision of the Bosco Integrated Development Society, Shillong.
On this day, Childline conducted several enjoyable programmes for the children of the locality as well as fun games which incorporated songs and dances, followed by the distribution of blankets, contributed generously by HNYF, Nongpoh, and Christmas gifts to the households of the locality.
