Shillong: Newly elected Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), Winston Tony Lyngdoh, has thanked all MDCs for their support and good wishes as he assumed office. He also paid tribute to his predecessor, Shemborlang Rynjah, praising his contributions despite his short tenure and wishing him good health.
Responding to Opposition Leader Titosstarwell Chyne’s remarks that ties between the ruling Executive Committee and Opposition MDCs had weakened, the CEM clarified that such perceptions were unfounded. He assured that the Council under his leadership will remain open and inclusive, inviting MDCs from the Opposition to approach him anytime with concerns or suggestions for improvement.
