Shillong: New details have emerged in the case of 15-year-old girl, who went missing from Umpling on Sunday afternoon.
According to sources close to the family, Bajanai was preparing to join her family for a Rosary prayer.
Moments before the prayer began, she excused herself to go to the washroom. When she did not return, the family waited and then began searching for her, eventually realising she had disappeared.
Sources also stated that a wristwatch was found during the search, but authorities have not confirmed whether it belongs to the missing teenager.
Despite widespread rumours claiming she has been found, official sources have clarified that the search is still ongoing and no confirmation has been made regarding her whereabouts.
Police and local residents continue their efforts as concerns in the community remain high.
