The All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) has decided to field Sadhiarani M Sangma, the lone MDC from GHADC, as its candidate for the upcoming by-election in the Gambegre Constituency.
Speaking to the press on Friday, Dr. Mukul Sangma revealed that the President of the Pradesh Trinamool Congress Committee, Charles Pyngrope, and other members of the Election Committee have reviewed the application of Sadhiarani M Sangma, the wife of former Rangsakona MLA Zenith M Sangma.
This by-election is being held following the resignation of Congress MLA Saleng A Sangma, who vacated his position after being elected as the MP for Tura in the Lok Sabha.
Additionally, Dr. Mukul accused the NPP of misusing government employees and distributing CGI sheets to households within the constituency.
