SHILLONG, March 03: Former Minister in past governments and presently General Secretary of the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), Deborah C.Marak said that the Congress is still very much present in the Garo Hills as only the MLAs who won on Congress tickets have exited the party while the party workers are still very much active.
She said that the Congress has different Blocks and as per her knowledge, the blocks are currently conducting a membership drive in every place. She said that the Congress only needs to get winning candidates and if it succeeds in doing so then the party will surely come back to power in the State.
