Shillong: Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma has informed that police are on the right track in solving the murder of 4-year-old Insaphira Lyngdoh Mawnai, with the investigation progressing steadily.
Speaking to the media, the Chief Minister said the incident was unacceptable and extended his condolences to the bereaved family of the young child.
Sangma said the police are working diligently on the case. He further stated that he had been briefed by Deputy Chief Minister in-charge of Home (Police) that evidence is already being collected as part of the ongoing investigation.
However, he declined to provide details, noting that the inquiry is still underway, and assured that it would be completed soon, with the truth set to emerge.
