The East Khasi Hills district police conducted a series of raids across Shillong, targeting illicit activities, including the sale of illegal liquor, in areas such as Sadar, Police Bazar, Polo, Mawblei, and Madanrting. The operation resulted in the seizure of 70 litres of illicit IMFL and 100 litres of country-made liquor.
The police also took action against rowdy elements to ensure public safety on the roads. Authorities have committed to continuing the crackdown on illicit liquor sales, drunken driving, and other illegal activities to maintain peace and security for residents.
