Shillong: The NPP’s National General Secretary, Sniawbhalang Dhar, stated that the party is ready to welcome MLAs from other political parties.
When questioned, Dhar clarified that the NPP did not actively invite or lure MLAs from Congress; instead, they joined the NPP on their own, motivated by the need for development in their constituencies.
Dhar also dismissed the notion that the opposition MLAs are joining the ruling party due to perceived advantages in accessing development schemes. He emphasized that no constituency receives all the resources or development projects it demands, but the government is striving to meet the needs of all constituencies.
