SHILLONG, September 28 : After the Election Commission of India announced the dates for the bye-election in three constituencies of Meghalaya, the preparation for the election has started in full swing with political parties announcing candidates to contest the election.
The National People’s Party leader of the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance coalition government had announced that it shall field candidates in all 3 constituencies, and today evening announced the names of Shri Pyniaid Sing Syiem for Mawryngkneng and Shri Abdul Saleh for Rajabala as candidates from the party while for Mawphlang, NPP will decide on a candidate subsequently in the coming days.
