First Batch of MRES Assistant Engineers Completes Induction Training at SIRD Nongsder

The first batch of Assistant Engineers under the Meghalaya Rural Engineering Service has successfully completed a two-week Induction Training Programme at the State Institute of Rural Development.

The training programme was designed to equip newly appointed engineers with essential knowledge on rural development initiatives, administrative procedures, technical operations and field-level implementation. Resource persons from various departments conducted interactive sessions aimed at enhancing both the technical expertise and professional capabilities of the participants.

Throughout the programme, the trainees actively participated in discussions, group exercises and experience-sharing sessions, making the training engaging and practical.

The valedictory programme was attended by Sibhi Chakravarty Sadhu, Director of the Community and Rural Development Department, Government of Meghalaya, who addressed the participants and congratulated them on successfully completing the training.

Participants noted that the programme not only enhanced their professional knowledge but also helped build strong relationships among members of the first MRES batch, fostering teamwork and unity.

Many of the trainees expressed appreciation for the opportunity, stating that the two-week programme was both enriching and memorable.

The induction training concluded with participants thanking the organisers, faculty members and resource persons for their guidance and support throughout the programme.
