Shillong: Following the discovery of the body of a four-year-old girl inside the basement of an under-construction house at Nongrah, Rangbah Shnong Denis Lynrah clarified that police search teams, along with sniffer dogs, had combed the premises on Sunday but did not enter the basement where the body was later found.
He said villagers and police conducted joint searches the previous day using sniffer dogs, but the child’s body remained undetected. Lynrah added that at present the village has no suspicions as the investigation is ongoing, and the community will place full trust in the law to uncover the truth behind the child’s tragic death.
