Shillong: The General Secretary of the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), Deborah Ch.Marak said that the the offer of support made by the 5 Congress MLAs to the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance(MDA) Government was done without her knowledge.
Speaking with media persons, Marak said that she became aware and saw their move to extend support only through the media and it is a fact that this matter was not discussed or informed to the MPCC or even to the AICC.
Marak said that even the MPCC cannot authorise for such a move without the approval from higher authorities in the AICC.
With regard to this betrayal of the 5 Congress MLAs, Marak said that a report will have to sent to the AICC which will in turn notify them on the necessary actions to be taken on the 5 Congress MLAs for extending their support to the MDA Government without firstly notifying them.
