Shillong: North Shillong MLA Adelbert Nongrum visited Nongrah Nonglum Brei on Monday night to express condolences to the family of four-year-old Insaphira Lyngdoh Mawnai, who was brutally killed after going missing on Sunday.
Speaking to reporters, Nongrum said he could not simply follow the case through social media but felt compelled to personally meet the grieving family. He condemned the crime in the strongest terms, stating that those responsible have “no human spirit left, only the heart of beasts,” and do not deserve a place in society.
The MLA lauded the police for their swift response and expressed hope that justice will be delivered swiftly to bring solace to the family.
