Shillong: New cabinet minister of Hill State People’s Democratic Party (HSPDP) legislator from Mawshynrut Methodius Dkhar Methodius Dkhar was sworn in today as a cabinet minister in the state government.
He takes over the position from Shakliar Warjri of the same party, HSPDP.
Dkhar, who represents Mawshynrut constituency, said his induction into the cabinet is a moment of joy, as West Khasi Hills has not had a minister for nearly 20 years.
He expressed gratitude to Shakliar Warjri for graciously handing over the responsibility, to his party for its support, and especially to Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma for entrusting him with the ministerial role.
