SHILLONG: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) Nongtymmai Circle has urged police to expedite the investigation and immediately arrest those involved in the brutal death of four-year-old Insaphira Lyngdoh Mawnai.
President of KSU Nongtymmai, Erik Nongkynrih, said the incident has shocked the community and called on authorities to ensure that justice is not delayed. The student body reminded police of earlier cases of violence against children and women, including the murder of a mother and her child at Mawiong Umjapung, where culprits are yet to be traced. The Union demanded strict action and accountability to prevent further crimes.
