Shillong: The Minister incharge of Health department, Dr M Amapreen Lyngdoh on Tuesday informed that linking of Aadhaar card with the Meghalaya Health Insurance Scheme (MHIS) is mandatory as it help in availing many health facilities provided by the government.
The Health Minister also informed that if a patient has not enrolled for Aadhaar yet, one can still apply while in Hospital via Aadhaar machines available in the hospital itself.
One of the most important uses of Aadhar card is that it permits the holder to avail of all government subsidies, said Health Minister as she encourages people to apply for Aadhar.
