Shillong: Mawsynram, popular known to be one of the wettest place on Earth, is also blessed with magnificent natural caves, eye dropping waterfalls, scenic views and beautiful landscapes. However, all in vain as tourism continues to decline due to bad conditions of road connectivity, said local MLA Ollan Singh Suin.
The MLA Suin stated that if tourism is improved in the area it would contribute more in the livelihood of the people, he also said that people should know how to interact and treat the tourists, if people treat them with kindness and respect, only then tourism will boom, added the Mawsynram MLA.
