Shillong: Cabinet Minister and Pynthorumkhrah legislator, Alexander Laloo Hek on Tuesday informed that he had personally met the Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma to apprise on the issue of roster system and other issues.
Speaking to reporters, Hek informed that an MDA meeting will be called in the second week of this month to discuss on the roster and other issues. Hek further said that personally he feels that the implementation of roster system should be implemented prospectively not retrospectively.
Hek stated that if there is a need to review the present state reservation policy, a proper discussion should be called and everyone should be taken onboard.
The BJP legislator informed that from the BJP side they have constituted a committee on this matter with former MLA, HM Shangpliang as the convener and other members of the committee include party MLA, Sanbor Shullai and Cabinet Minister Hek as the representative, Party president, Ernest Mawrie, BJP spokesperson, M. Kharkrang, party legal advisers—Vivan G Kynta and SP Mahanta and the two party leaders of the party from Garo Hills– Edmund K Sangma and Ferlin CA Sangma.
