Shillong 3 April 2023 : As part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Prime Minister Narendra Modi also inaugurated the newly constructed office complex of CBI at Shillong, Pune and Nagpur through online on Monday at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
It is to be known that earlier the CBI did not have its own permanent office in Meghalaya and the CBI office was located in a rented house in the Oakland area of Shillong, due to which the CBI officers had to face a lot of difficulties in working due to lack of space. But now with the construction of its permanent office building in Mawdengdiang area of Shillong, CBI will be able to work easily.
