The 5 MLAs will remain suspended if they do not respond, says Pala

HEADLINES

SHILLONG, November 14: The President of the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), Vincent H.Pala said that the party had sent the letter to the 5 MLAs notifying them of their suspension from party membership, however,if they do not respond to the suspension order, the suspension will remain.

He said that at present there is nothing left to be done from the MPCC, but they will have to speak directly with the All India Congress Committee (AICC) because a committee has been set up to specially adjudge this matter.

He said that from before they were suspended, he had met with the MLAs who were willing to be suspended, but if they already have another means then nothing can be done anymore.

It may be pointed that the Congress party had suspended the 5 MLAs from primary membership of the party after they extended their unconditional support to the MDA Government on the 8th of February,2022.
